FAQ

  • Are you getting married at a venue or is it just one big group accomodation?

We’re getting married at The Sun Ranch, a “boutique micro resort” according to their website (very fancy sounding, but we promise it’s super laid back.) It can sleep up to 40 people (not including small babies). When we were planning our wedding, the most important thing for us was finding a place big enough to fit everyone (or almost everyone) we love in one spot.

  • Will everyone at your wedding be staying at The Sun Ranch?

That’s the aim! However, we will only know if we’ll have enough room once everyone has RSVP’ed (we have to do a lot of room maths) so please get that done ASAP if you’d be so kind! We’ve invited roughly about the amount of people that the venue fits

  • What did you mean by “four days of festivities”?

Basically, every wedding we’ve ever been to (even ones lasting a whole weekend) have basically just felt too damn short! They’ve been so much fun but sadly feel like they’re over before they’ve barely begun. To remedy that, we thought we would do a four day ho down with all our best buddies and family in order to maximise time with the people we love the best.

  • Can I stay at The Sun Ranch for longer/shorter than the four days?

Of course! We understand everyone might not be able to spend the full four days with us at The Ranch. If you can only come to the day of our wedding, please let us know as we might be able to free up a room for someone else!

  • We read the invite, but... what exactly is the dress code though?!

In short - we honestly don’t care what you wear as long as you’re happy and comfortable. If that’s in a tuxedo - great! If that in jeans and a t-shirt, fantastic! Other than Paul’s strict “No Furries” Rule, anything goes as long as you’re happy. No Furry is actually capable of experiencing happiness, so it goes without saying that NO FURRIES ALLOWED. We thought it might be more fun to have no rules (wear white if you want!) and everyone could just come in their happiest states and we hope that you find a way to reflect that in your fit!

  • Are children welcome?

Of course, but also feel free to leave them with mum and dad/the babysitter/let them fend for themselves if you really wanna kick back and relax. While The Sun Ranch is a child friendly venue, they do have strict limits on the number of children on the property at one time if they are under 12. They do in some cases require a child minder/babysitter to be present, so please let us know if you’re thinking of bringing the kids along and we will figure out a plan!

  • I'm staying offsite, do you have any accomodation suggestions?

We certainly do! Please have a look at our accomodations page for more info.

  • Are there any activities I can do there?

    There sure are! These include…

    - Horse rides (and Equine Therapy)
    - Lucky Star Rituals and Psychic / Astrology / Tarot Readings
    - Massages and Facials
